Doorknocking is a community engagement activity that involves going from house to house knocking on doors and speaking directly with families. Schools use this strategy as a way to engage face-to-face with families and share information about the school, upcoming events, and enrollment/registration. Doorknocking is the most effective way of making face-to-face community contact, and those who try it for the first time are usually surprised by the pleasant reception they receive.
